Welcome to Learning Together!

Welcome to Learning Together!

At Port City Community Church, we are committed to building community with one another. This is a church-wide goal, as well as one that the production team holds dear. We are a team that strives to serve God intentionally by growing in both our knowledge of production and our relationships with one another along the way. For us, production is not only a technical endeavor, but a way to provide a community that pursues God together.

Learning Together is all about that. This blog is dedicated to your stories–the teachings, testimonies, and experiences that have shaped, or are shaping, your walk with God. We aim to give voice to the work He is doing in our lives, so that we may learn more about each other and about the heart of God.

One of our key culture values within production is Pursuit Together–simply, encouraging each other to fix our hearts on Jesus. This is based in the passage 1 Timothy 4:11-16, which says:

“Command and teach these things. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

By sharing our journeys with one another–our celebrations, challenges, encouragements, struggles–we are able to point each other back to God in faith. God gives us community to strengthen us in our pursuit of Him. Growing in connection is why we believe Learning Together is so important to the production team.

The Learning Together Team

Learning Together is run by Nick Warkentien and interns Abigail Celoria and Natalie Watson. We are committed to making this blog a helpful place of learning and connection for all members of the production team. If you feel inclined to contribute, please do not hesitate to reach out. We would love to hear about the ways that God is working in your life.
