A quick update
Hey friends!
If you’ve paid any attention to our posts in the past year or so, you know it’s been a while since we’ve written anything! It’s been our staffs desire to be able to share things that we’ve been learning with our teams, and Hurricane Florence threw a wrench into that plan. While this post started for me as a recap of some things I’ve learned through the process of the storm and our recovery from it, I’m still processing a few things, and felt like I couldn’t get my thoughts down as clearly as I’d like. So for now, I’ll just update y’all on some things happening around PC3, and some things coming up in the near future!
We’re ramping back up with the blog! We’ve got a great schedule of posts coming up, and are excited that y’all will get to hear from some new voices outside of just our staff team! Keep checking back every week or two to see some new things that we hope will help encourage you, and help you grow!
We’re working on a “team night”, a chance for us to all get together and take time to look into how we operate as a team, and how we can grow together. We’ll start all together as a large production team, and then break up into smaller, more focused groups after that. We’ll have a date for this coming soon!
If you’ve paid attention to social media or your email inbox recently, you’ll know that there are some staff transitions happening right now in our church. If you’ve got any questions, or just want to be able to process with us, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We’re working on a podcast! Our hope for it is to have another medium through which we share things that we’re collectively learning, as well as a chance to hear from industry leaders, folks in similar roles in other churches, and key leaders in our church.
I’d like to end with a quick shout out and recognize someone on our team who’s been doing a killer job. Jacob Wilson, one of our Studio 3 CG operators has been killing it recently, and, even though he’s pretty new on the team has done an awesome job of helping to lead and teach new students joining the team. Well done, dude!
Thankful for you all, and the ways in which you so discreetly and selflessly serve the people of our church week in and week out!
Matt, SM Production Coordinator.
